Shima Heidari is a lawyer and was the recipient of the Rising Star Award – Under 30 Achievement from the Iranian Women Organization of Ontario in 2017. She is passionate about her community, culture, and women empowerment.
Shima was a legal consultant at UNICEF in Vietnam where she practiced human rights law. An avid volunteer, Shima supports a variety of community initiatives. She is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Safe School Network, a volunteer with Lawyers Feed the Hungry, the Tirgan Festival and the Iranian-Canadian Women’s Leadership Conference. Shima was a Director of the Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals for two years and served as the president of the University of Wollongong Alumni –Toronto Chapter for another two.
In addition to her law degree, Shima holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, and a Masters degree in Applied Finance and Banking.
