Maryam Nehrir
Maryam is a certified career coach with extensive professional experience in the education and employment sectors.
Currently, she works with the Intercultural Skills Lab as a career educator at Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Prior to that, she trained, coached, and mentored diverse populations at non-profit organizations and the private sector in the areas of career management and ESL. She has an M.Ed. in adult learning, focused on Teaching English as a Second Language from Shiraz University, Iran.
Maryam is an avid advocate for social and economic equity; empowering marginalized and underrepresented groups embodies the core of her work. Besides, she is committed to community contributions and has been actively engaged in the CDP (Career Development Practitioner) alumni chapter of George Brown College, the Jumpstart Refugee Talent Mentorship program, the Persian Interagency Network, and other DEI initiatives at organizations such as YMCA and Culturelink. Maryam is also an arts and culture enthusiast and has volunteered with Tirgan Festival and TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival).
